We Found Our Land

A couple of months ago we found our land! We had been searching for what seems like forever. We had hoped to find space somewhere closer to the Appalachians, but proximity to family ended up being a major factor in our thought process. If we weren’t moving to the mountains or the beach, then we didn’t want to land too many driving hours away from either side of our family.

By what seems like divine intervention, we noticed a piece of land closer to my side. It had been (re)listed that morning, previously priced out of our search range(and still on the high end of what we were willing to pay). BUT it had electric and septic already on site, a well, and the driveway already set up! After talking to my stepdad, we realized the value of all those pieces to our house puzzle made that piece of land worth every penny. We made an offer within 24 hours.

It’s been a process cleaning up the space so far, but there’s tons of potential and the neighbors are great. We’re learning lots about poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac. Can’t wait to finally break ground!
